Beirut is a city saturated with traces of violent conflict.
In 2002, during a residency there, we realised a series of circular video panoramas.

We have placed each of these end-to-end. Each one of them stops on an inscription which is either legible, defaced or overpainted until it appears as a mere paint spot.

The movement of cars mixes with the conflict reality in the words.
The stillness of the painted signs is set in motion by the dynamism of the city.
